Confidences de Prieuré-Lichine | Margaux Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon
Red wine | France, BORDEAUX | 2022
Deep ruby red in colour. The nose reveals aromas of ripe plum, blackcurrant and blueberry, complemented by hints of violet, black tea, cedar and subtle earthy spice. The palate is smooth and generous, with ripe dark fruit, refined tannins and a vibrant freshness that provides excellent balance. The finish is long, elegant and characteristically Margaux: powerful yet beautifully refined.

Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation, which lasts approximately 28 to 30 days to ensure optimal extraction of colour, aromas and tannins. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, including 40% second-fill and 60% third-fill barrels, adding elegance and complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit.

About Ch. Prieure Lichine
Château Prieuré-Lichine is a 4th Grand Cru Classé from Margaux, with a history dating back to the 12th century, when monks from the Abbey of Vertheuil established a priory here. In 1951, Alexis Lichine, known as the “Pope of Wine”, took over the estate and gave it his name two years later. He expanded the vineyard holdings, modernised the winery and had the former monastic buildings restored. Today, the château is owned by the Ballande Group. The estate comprises approximately 78 hectares of vineyards spread across five communes within the Margaux appellation. The great diversity of parcels and terroirs is an important part of the château’s identity. The estate follows sustainable farming practices and has been certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) since 2019.
