De wijn heeft een zuivere intense robijnrode kleur. Ook de geur is intens en levendig en mag complex genoemd worden: rijp fruit, bramen, pruimen, viooltjes en rozen, peper en zoethout. Verder toetsen van rozemarijn en balsamico, wat een fris gevoel brengt bovenop een minerale basis. De wijn is vol en gestructureerd, aangenaam fris en mooi in balans met de zijdeachtige tanninnes. Ook de afdronk is lang en harmonieus.

De druiven worden handgeplukt en enkel de beste worden geselecteerd. Er volgt een spontane gisting in stenen tanks, met constante omroering, gedurende één week aan ongeveer 27°C. Hierna gaat de wijn in stalen tanks voor een spontane malolactische gisting. De wijn rijpt nog 12 maanden in Franse eiken vaten van 500 liter.

The domain, which belongs to the Porcioles-Biuxo family, is located in the Noguera region, which belongs to the
DO Costers del Segre. This is an appellation situated along the river Segre in the northwest of Cataluña. The "Segre" is one of the most important tributaries of the Ebro, which originates in the French Pyrenees and flows into the Catalan province of Lleida. It is a very large domain with an area of ??700 ha of which 71 ha is used for viticulture.
