This wine presents its characteristic beautiful and intense cherry color, with raspberry glints and a deep blueish-violet edge. Capturing both the complexity and elegance of great Ribera del Duero tempranillo, this wine offers come-hither aromas of ripe strawberry, red plum, black pepper, licorice and cocoa. On the palate the wine presents itself rich and full. While the texture is supple and creamy, good acidity keeps the flavors lively, while carrying the wine to a long, bright finish. Intense with ripe tannins.

Rigorous, manual selection of the grapes. Harvesting took place on September 30, 2016. The fermentation is 50% in American oak and 50% in French oak barrels. The wine will then mature for another 12 months before being bottled.

About Vega Clara
Vega Clara bezit 12 hectare aan wijngaarden. De bodega situeert zich zo'n 30 km ten Oosten van Valladolid. Alle wijngaarden bevinden zich in het dorp Quintanilla de Onésimo, in de beroemde Golden Mile van de Ribera de Duero. De wijngaarden van Vega Clara zijn verdeeld in twee verschillende stukken land, gelegen in het tegenovergestelde deel van het dorp en bevinden zich op 720 en 800 m boven de zeespiegel. In totaal worden drie blauwe druivensoorten geteeld die zorgen voor wijnen met geweldige aroma's.
