Bright ruby red with a distinct raspberry hue. An expressive, fresh and fruity bouquet, typical of the grape variety, with dominant aromas of wild berries, strawberries and raspberries, complemented by delicate floral notes. The palate is fresh and full-bodied, revealing recurring flavours of wild berries, strawberries and raspberries, enhanced by a subtle spicy touch. Well-structured, with lively freshness and a long, elegant finish.

Vinification
30-year-old vines planted on a gently sloping hillside with clay soils at an altitude of 550 metres. Cold maceration for 18 hours, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature of 15–17°C. Stabilised prior to bottling.

About Bodegas y Viñedos Merayo
After spending 20 years on the restoration and maintenance of the vineyards on the family estate from 1990, Pedro Merayo started producing his own wines in 2010. The Bodegas y Viñedos Merayos was established. The founder started this project thanks to years of experience in the world of winemaking and especially thanks to a great preference for the Bierzo region. He was delighted to be able to return to his roots.
