De aromatische intensiteit is sterk gemarkeerd. De neus roept een cocktail van rood fruit op, zoals frambozen en kersen, en gekonfijt fruit, zoals bramen, bosbessen of pruimen. Naast al dit fruit wordt een mooi bloemenboeket onthuld, samengesteld uit rozen en lila, met een vleugje amandel.
De tannines zijn rijp en zijdezacht, met een mondvullend en rond gevoel. De wijn is soepel en lang, en laat een gevoel van frisheid achter.

De druiven worden geplukt, zacht gekneusd en krijgen een maceratie. Hierna worden de druiven niet geperst, men laat gewoon het sap uit de druiven lopen en dat wordt gebruikt. Na fermentatie krijgt de wijn nog een opvoeding in nieuwe houten vaten voor 15 maanden.

This prominent domain originated in the 18th century. In the 19th century this domain became the property of the Fourcaud-Laussac family who held it until 1998. In 1998 it was sold to Mr. Bernard Arnault and Baron Albert Frère. The exceptional terroir and the composition of (many) Cabernet Franc and Merlot give these wines an absolutely unique taste. This domain has received a higher number of "exceptional vintage" listings than any classified domain in the last century. Another exceptional point of these wines is the fact that if this wine has reached its best evolution, it will remain that way for a long time.
