De Sauvignon Blanc-druiven werden begin oktober aan een geode rijpheid manueel geoogst. Na een maceratieperiode van 18 uur en een zachte persing, vergist de Welles Reserve spontaan in grote houten vaten. Na de gisting rijpt de wijn nog vijf jaar in de kelder.
