Bacareto - Verdicchio Classico Superiore | Verdicchio Dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC (Marche)

White wine | Italy, MARCHE | 2022
This wine stands out for its radiant yellow color accompanied by green reflections, a subtle bouquet infused with hints of gooseberry, apple, and peach. On the palate, it offers a harmoniously balanced, dry taste, with a touch of bitterness in the lingering aftertaste. The Verdicchio has undergone a prolonged maturation process, resulting in a wine that is rich, full-bodied, and sumptuously luscious in flavor.

About Bacareto

This wine comes from the Marche region in Italy on the Adriatic coast at the height of Ancona and is produced at an altitude of 220 to 380 m above sea level, allowing the cool sea wind to easily penetrate into the vineyards. The Verdicchio has been cultivated in this region since the fifteenth century. Today we distinguish the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC, rebuilt on the hills to the west of the village of Jesi and the Verdicchio di Matelica DOC which is produced a lot more south and even more inland. Due to the lime-rich clay soil, both areas are ideal for the production of white wine. For both wines a legal addition of up to 15% of the Trebbiano and / or Malvasia is permitted.
