Diepe, robijnrode kleur. Droge wijn met amper 0,8 gram restsuiker. Complex aroma van rijpe vruchten als kersen en bessen. Maar ook iris en specerijen als peper en chocolade door de langere rijping. Hoge smaakintensiteit, rond, goede structuur en veel persoonlijkheid.

De druiven worden manueel geoogst in oktober . Na ontristing volgt de maceratie op de druivenpellen gedurende 12 dagen in roestvrij stalen tanks, om zo de gewenste kleur en geur te bekomen. Rijping van minstens twaalf maanden in Franse eiken vaten en nadien nog 12 maanden op fles, waardoor complexiteit ontstaat. Er worden jaarlijks amper 8000 flessen van geproduceerd.

Founded in 1887, with a constant objective for five generations: quality. The company is based in Milazzo in the north-eastern part of Sicily, on the Tyrrhenian coast of the province of Messina, opposite the Aeolian Islands.
