La Dame de Montrose | St.-Estèphe

Red wine | France, SAINT-ESTEPHE | 2016
The colour is dense and deep. The complex, expressive and indulgent nose unveils aromas of ripe fruit and spicy notes on aeration. The full and round palate shows good complexity. There are notes of well-ripened black fruit, liquorice and vanilla. The tannic structure and freshness of the fruit are perfectly in balance. Long and persistent finish. A very great Dame that can (still) wait!

A precise selection of plots was carried out by an expanded team in the vineyard. In the cellar, each vat has its own identity and the custom vinifications allowed the extraction of the best potential from each of them. This ultra-precise work resulted in a large palette of 50 different lots for the blending.

About La Dame de Montrose

Château Montrose was founded in 1815. The 65 ha vineyards of Montrose are located right on the banks of the wide river Gironde. Already in 1855 the wines of Montrose were counted among the best in Bordeaux and classified as deuxième Grand Cru Classé. In 1896, Montrose came into the hands of the Charmolü family. In 2006 the Bouygues brothers took over the castle. This domain also produces a second wine, La Dame de Montrose.
