Seductive notes of stone fruit such as peach and light apple notes are combined with a delicate aroma of flowers. The wine has a nice minerality in the mouth with a very fruity taste, a full body and a pleasant background of fresh acidity. We notice a nice length and elegance in the aftertaste.

The Bernsteinwein type is a project of 12 winegrowers on the River March (Marchweingärtern), where the vines grow next to the historic Bernsteinstrasse. Each of the winemakers puts together their own blend and they use the same label on the bottle. The wine is always a blend of grape varieties typical of the region. This blend matures in steel tanks where the wine is left on its fine lees until bottling.

About Weingut Lehner - Minkowitsch
The Minkowitsch winery is a traditional family business that has existed since 1875. The sixth generation is now at the helm. A new chapter in their wine history has opened since 2022. The fusion of two wine families: Lehner and Minkowitsch. Lukas Lehner and Agnes Lehner-Minkowitsch brought their families together not only privately, but also professionally. Two independent winegrowers are now working together towards a common future.
They mainly produce fresh, fruity white and smooth red wines on approximately 7 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are located in the southern Weinviertel, in Velm-Götzendorf and Mannersdorf an der March, northeast of Vienna, on the border with Slovakia. The philosophy of winemaking is the simplest imaginable: own vineyards, own grapes and own wine. The result is varietal wines with balance and harmony.
